Section 2.5 - Mini Project 1
Put those skills to use!
In this lesson, you’ll embark on an independent project to apply your knowledge of series and parallel circuits. First, you’ll receive an introduction to the project through slides, which outline the objective: to design two circuits using LEDs to creatively display your initials. You’ll start by building a series circuit to outline the first letter of your first name, carefully considering how the LEDs’ brightness will be affected by the current flow in this configuration. Next, you’ll construct a parallel circuit to outline the first letter of your last name, observing how the setup allows for a more uniform brightness across all LEDs. This project is a hands-on way to practice circuit-building techniques while adding a personal touch by creating a unique display of your initials. This hands-on approach not only solidifies your understanding of series and parallel circuits but also gives you a deeper appreciation for how different configurations affect circuit performance.
